Travel Grants

Student Travel Grants Overview

To promote the participation of students, ACM SIGMM and ACM ICMR 2024 organisation committee will offer student travel grants for students.

Students must apply for a travel grant prior to the deadline of 25th April. The applicant must be a SIGMM student member (create an account) at the time of application.

Successful grantees need to pay the conference registration fee and make their own travel arrangements. Grantees must also present themselves at the registration desk of the conference and sign an attendance record, which we will share with SIG MM. Upon returning home from the conference, grantees will be sent a link to a web page on the ACM website where they can upload their receipts. Grantees travelling from within the same continent can be reimbursed up to USD 1,000 while students travelling intercontinental can get up to USD 2,000. These rates are fixed. Students are allowed claim economy-class flights, local travel, accommodation, meals, but not conference registration.

Student Volunteers

Students who are awarded student travel grants will be expected to carry out light service as student volunteers during the conference.

Selection Criteria

Students being the primary authors of an accepted paper in the main conference or workshops will be given preference in the selection process.

Students without papers accepted for publication at ACM MM ICMR 2024 but involved in research closely related to the topics of the conference can also be considered.

Female and minority students’ applications are especially encouraged.
